THESE BENEFITS
- During March and April only, if you buy a 5-year or lifetime resident
freshwater fishing license, you will receive all of the samples and
magazines shown in the poster above. The license cost is $61.50.
(On-line a $1.95 convenience fee is
added, or via toll-free phone at 1-888-FISH FLOrida a $3.95 convenience
fee is added). The samples, magazines and premiums pictured above
are worth more than $60--essentially making your next five years of
freshwater fishing free.
- You will also receive special offers or rebate coupons from our other
sponsors. If you take advantage of these offers, you can save hundreds of dollars.
- Plus you get a credit-card
style license. These licenses are much more popular than the light
paper licenses provided to annual license holders.
- Moreover, you will save a minimum of $6 in administrative fees,
compared to buying five annual licenses from a subagent (an annual
fishing license costs $13.50 x 5 years equals $67.50 - $61.50 = $6.00
savings), and more if you
purchase through a subagent that charges a convenience fee (for example
if you buy via the toll-free system each year you'd save $6 plus $15.80).
- In addition, Five-Year License holders are not affected by any license-fee price
increases that occur while their license is valid.
- By purchasing a five-year license you also help the Florida Fish and
Wildlife Conservation Commission stabilize and increase it's funding for fish
and wildlife conservation. Your purchase price is deposited into an
interest bearing account and only the value of a one year license and its
interest is removed each year. Moreover, it enables us to drawdown
approximately $4 extra each year from the Federal Aid in
Sportfish Restoration program, which means that
Florida gets back more of the money that you spend on Federal excise taxes on
fishing tackle and motor boat fuel taxes, rather than letting the money go to
other states.
