5 year 2004 goodies

CHECK OUT THESE BENEFITS

  1. If you are one of the first 3,000 resident anglers to buy a 5-year or lifetime freshwater fishing license after April 1, 2004, you will receive free samples,  magazines or coupons from the sponsors shown in the poster above.  The 5-year license cost is $61.50.  (Administrative fees vary, so total cost depends on where you buy. On-line an extra $3.81 is charged; via toll-free phone at 1-888-FISH FLOrida an extra $4.83 is charged, at a license agent a (e.g., retail marts, bait-and-tackle shops) an extra $2.00 is charged).  Lifetime licenses must be purchased at a Tax Collector's office.  The samples, magazines and premiums included in the package are worth about $30, plus there are hundreds of dollars of special offers and bonus coupons.

  2. Consequently, 5-year license buyers save $6.00-19.32 in administrative fees, compared to buying five separate annual licenses.

  3. In addition, 5-Year License holders are not affected by any license-fee price increases that occur while their license is valid.

  4. By purchasing a 5-year license you also help the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission stabilize and increase it's funding for fish and wildlife conservation.  Your purchase price is deposited into an interest bearing account and only the value of a one-year license and its interest is removed each year.  Moreover, it enables us to drawdown approximately $7.00 extra each year from the Federal Aid in Sportfish Restoration program, which means that Florida gets back more of the money that you spend on Federal excise taxes on fishing tackle and motor boat fuel taxes, rather than letting the money go to other states.
